IntroductionMedipost Team is looking for a professional, focused and self-driven individual to join their dynamic BI Team in the capacity of a Junior BI Programmer. The successful individual will be placed in Gezina (Pretoria).
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Design, development and maintenance of the Qlik data models for their division.Design, development and testing of Qlik applications.Development of data quality definitions and applications.Assist with performance and tuning of Qlik applications.Participate in driving workshops to define requirements and design applications.Manage requirements and scope of development projects.Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requests.Develop QlikView models to assist solving business questions and problems.Use and support database applications and analytical tools: evaluate data quality, applications, and functions, produce output, and maintain operations.Research new data sources and analytical tools; contribute to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation.Create and maintain technical design documentation.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Designing, developing and maintaining of QlikView models Design, develop and maintain reporting models and dashboardsDeadline adherence Attending to new development requests, change development requests, ad hoc development requests, general requests and report inquiries within the communicated timelines.Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Ad hoc Reporting Ensure that daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports are generated within the communicated timelines.Accuracy and attention to detail The ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when executing duties.Customer Service Providing timely and attentive service to the business and ensuring that their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the department.Learning and Development The employee continuously develops themselves and strives to improve.Time and Attendance As per company policies and procedures.Specific Requirements/Other important information Analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions.Strong problem-solving skills.Logical individual motivated by building practical and sustainable solutions.Strong prioritization skills.Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude, self-motivated.Ability to manage complex organizational interfaces.Strong aptitude to learn new systems.Understanding business processes, how the application supports the business processes and apply this knowledge to best solve problems.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any related Tertiary Qualification in relation to the field.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-2 years QlikView development & SQL experience.Strong administration and organizational skills & experience.COMPETENCIES Working under pressure.Deadline adherence.Accuracy and Attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.Critical Thinking.Systems Analysis.Comfortable working independently, with experience working in a team environment.Physical ability to use computer hardware and software required.
