POSITION OVERVIEW Based at Cape Town Branch to further strengthen our local Sales team, we are currently seeking:
JUNIOR BAKER– (Cape Town, South Africa)
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:
Baking and working closely with the Technical Advisor & Sales team.III. - KEY TASKS Bake all products with excellence.Assist Technical Advisors on our products.Present finished goods.Sleep away from home when required by the National Technical Advisor.Work with the Sales team to build and grow the business.Create new innovative products from existing products.Perform under pressure during shows, presentations, and store openings.Calculate costings with technical advisors.Apply skills by putting recipes together using baker percentage.IV. – JOB REQUIREMENT Grade 12 is compulsory.Driver's License is not essential for this position but required in future for promotions within the Technical Department.Experience: Minimum of Two (2) years required as a Junior Baker from Chipkins Puratos Bakery School; must be a Matriculated individual and selected by the School Principal to participate in a Yes Programme.Languages: English is a prerequisite; additional language(s) an advantage.Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) will be an advantage.Other expertise: Business & result driven, strong presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills, team player, creative, innovative.V. – REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Collaborating effectively: spontaneously helps team members, networking, sharing information/results.Communicating effectively: actively listening, reporting, provides clear explanations that are easy to follow.Driving performances: results-driven, persistent, planning & prioritizing, solving problems.Improving continuously: adapts flexibly to changes, open to learn from feedback.Managing customer needs: understanding customer environment, builds and maintains relationship with customers, implements most suitable solutions that meet customer expectations.Offer Puratos provides a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment that encourages our people to take initiatives and bring ideas that will contribute to the success of the company.
