Job Summary CIB Global Markets Post Trade Services Team (PTS) is currently looking for a Junior Analyst in the Money Market space to manage the confirmations and settlements for all Money Market Transactions to ensure that all transactions are controlled and confirmed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The department supports a broad range of operational services across the Money Market products, trade lifecycle including lifecycle management, confirmation, settlement and daily reporting as well as strategic product support. The business is continually looking for ways to implement efficiencies, reduce risk to the firm and enhance the experience of our clients.
Job Description Accountability: Confirmations and Settlements:
Confirmations and Settlements with internal and external counterparties.Professional communication with thorough and detailed explanation to clients via email or phone to resolve all differences in a timely manner.Liaison with internal counterparts (i.e. Desk, Sales team, Trade Support, Confirmations, Settlements) to work through issues and identify the correct remediation required.Acting as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients and effectively resolving all incoming client queries within a pre-agreed timeframe.Exercising good judgement skills to make the necessary decisions to address client queries and ensuring all high-priority queries are escalated to the management promptly.Accountability: Controls and MI Contribute to the specification and testing of improvements for all systems and processes.Uphold the controls and procedures for the team.Prepare MIS for distribution to management.Proactively cross train on all functions performed within the team and across the department to gain a deeper understanding of the derivative products and processes.Initiate process improvements within the team to drive efficiency and cost savings.Strong analytical skills required to perform complex analysis on the volumes and process flow to identify the root cause.Suggest innovative solutions to improve efficiency and provide management with a detailed breakdown to quantify the time/headcount savings from the initiative.Act as the key point of contact with stakeholders (i.e. Technology, Change Manager, Team AVP) in order to implement change.Accountability: Administration Ensure that all the paperwork related to transactions is filed and kept in a secure place.Provide good customer service and communicate with clients, trade support or front office and respond promptly to queries.Provide information to stakeholders as requested.Education and Experience Required B Degree or equivalent NQF 6 qualification.3 years' experience in a Money Market trades environment.Education Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required).
