We are passionate about fostering your growth and success, offering mentorship, resources, and a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.As the Junior Accountant of Moore Stellenbosch, you will be primarily responsible for performing various finance-related tasks such as keeping financial records, managing the Profsoft database, processing Client fees, processing bank transactions on Xero Accounting, managing Debtors, and maintaining an excellent relationship with clients to ensure payments reflect on time for the company.Minimum RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSAccounting diploma or graduate degree (SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA Traineeship is a plus)KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREDFully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationshipsStrong administrative and time management skillsAbility to take initiative and to multi-taskGood computer skills (MS Excel, Profsoft, Xero accounting)Good attention to detail, well organised and structuredSelf-motivatedAbility to work independentlyAbility to work under pressure within time constraintsHardworkingPREVIOUS EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years in an accounting or administrative roleKnowledge of Xero and/or Profsoft will be advantageousDuties and ResponsibilitiesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND AD HOC ACCOUNTING DUTIESDaily processing of Tax invoices and Credit notesTimely communication of fees to clientsAccurate fee summaries, debtor reconciliations, and allocations in XeroDEBTORS AND FEE COLLECTION DUTIESOversee the complete debtors process, ensuring timely paymentsRegular follow-up communication with debtors and accurate tracking via ExcelProvide timely updates to directors on debtors' statusMANAGEMENT OF PROFSOFT DATABASE DUTIESAdd new clients, make updates, and process dataEnsure new clients receive relevant newsletters and appointment lettersMaintain records, such as lockdown dates and PISTRANSACTION PROCESSING DUTIESAccurately process bank transactions on Xero AccountingTRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS DUTIESCoordinate flight, accommodation, and car rentals for staffDue to possible growth, internal changes, or restructuring, along with the rapidly changing work environment, the above responsibilities incl. any other reasonable responsibilities or duties that you may be required to perform from time to time.
