Junior Accountant, Roodepoort

My client, small and stable accounting company based in Roodepoort, is looking for a junior accountant with immediate effect. This person will assist the financial manager and be involved in all aspects of the accounting function including full debtors and creditors, handling invoices, manage the database, make payments, analyse expenses, assist with SARS submissions and liaise with SARS, assist with preparation of financial statements, balance sheets and monthly financial reports. Handle bank recons, etc. Taxation skills essential. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree (including Auditing and Taxation) or relevant qualification and minimum 3 years general accounting experience. They must have excellent communication skills and be au fait with various accounting packages - Pastel and VIP payroll. Strong Excel skills. They must have valid drivers licence and own transport is essential to visit clients.
