Junior Accountant

Job Description:Ensure bank accounts are processed and interest is allocatedReview, prepare, and post prepaid expense journal entriesAgree loan statements to XeroUpdate loan schedulesReview payroll expenses – allocate unallocated wagesSplit payroll expenses per divisionReview unallocated transactionsSplit and allocate VAT and PAYE payments per divisionAssist with weekly and monthly livestock reconciliationsAssist with quarterly inventory journalsCheck and follow up on draft debtors/creditors transactionsFollow up on outstanding amounts receivablePrepare, post and allocate divisional rechargesPrepare monthly inter-company loan reconciliationAssist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closingsAssist with other/ad hoc accounting tasksPrepare weekly production reportLiaise with farm managers for weekly livestock informationObtain quarterly inventory on hand information from farm managersWork with farm managers to resolve any stock/inventory queriesObtain monthly divisional expenditure information from operations managerReview monthly divisional recharges and resolve queries with operations managerTake minutes of meetingsQualifications:2 – 3 years' bookkeeping/accounting experienceSAICA/SAIPA article experience advantageousAdvanced competency in MS ExcelIntermediate level of competency in MS Office, Outlook and WordProficiency in Xero accounting softwareRelevant accounting qualification preferredGreat attention to detailGood analytical, numerical and presentation skillsDeadline drivenHow to Apply:Email your comprehensive CV to ******.If you are already registered, please forward your CV and the relevant reference number to the consultant with whom you are currently registered in order to avoid duplicity on our system.We reserve the right to only conduct interviews with candidates of choice.Applicants who have not received feedback within 30 days from the closing date must please accept their application as unsuccessful.
