Junior Accountant

SALARY AND BENEFITS: R15000 - 20 000 CTC p/m neg

DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: A well-established engineering business is offering an opportunity to a young, ambitious Junior Accountant, to be situated at their offices in Northriding. Under the mentorship and management of the Financial Manager, the successful candidate will get to learn all aspects of the accounting function. The ideal candidate should be able to work without supervision and be willing to learn as they progress. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BCom Accounting degree or studying towards 3 years' experience in a junior finance role Accounting software like Xero/Pastel essential Strong interpersonal skills Proactive approach to problem-solving RESPONSIBILITIES: Cashbook processing for all entities including bank reconciliations Creditors & debtors experience Maintain Fixed Asset register and process depreciation monthly Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly Prepare and process month-end journals Assist with annual audit preparations Statutory returns - VAT, PAYE Inter-company transactional processing Do you see yourself as the successful Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper at this leading Company?
