Junior Accountant

Job & Company Descriptions A dynamic and innovative leader in the financial services industry is currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The main focus of this role is to support financial reporting and tax compliance, including managing VAT and Forex transactions. Duties: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards. Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Support the team in handling Forex transactions and reconciling foreign currency accounts. Utilize Caseware for financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Process SARS e-filing and maintain accurate tax records. Qualifications & skills: B BCom degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on tax. Familiarity with VAT, Forex transactions, and relevant financial software, including Caseware.
