Junior Accountant – Fruit Industry – Klapmuts

Exciting new opportunity for a junior accountant, reporting directly to the financial manager.

Accountant required: An organized, ambitious, and eager individual ready and willing to learn new skills and who is a team player. Based in Klapmuts, Cape Town.

Responsibilities include: Preparation, collation and compilation of schedules and reports from source documentation. Reconciling bank statements on a monthly and annual basis using Xero Accounting. Processing of all supplier invoices Monthly supplier reconciliations Supplier correspondence Preparation of daily payments Preparation of all orders as requested by the operations team Debtors Weekly wage processing on payroll system Time and attendance related administration General office correspondence, and other administration tasks such as fielding phone calls, reception, and booking appointments with clients. Any other tasks deemed necessary. Preferred requirements: Attention to detail. Exposure to Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Xero, and/or similar packages. Communication skills and interactions with clients and staff in a professional manner. An undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting with some work experience is advantageous.
