Junior Accountant – Cape Town

LOCATION: Joostenbergvlakte

DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: Leading Agricultural Company based in Cape Town has an opportunity for a Junior Accountant, to join their Finance team based in Joostenbergvlakte. (the position will be based in Brackenfell for a few months, after which you will be required to operate from the new Joostenbergvlakte offices) The successful candidate should have experience in both Debtors and Creditors, as they will provide support to both functions within the team, as well as overall administrative support. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must have experience with invoicing and should be familiar with the invoicing process. Must be in possession of/studying towards a tertiary Finance qualification. 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role with Debtors and Creditors experience. Must have drivers' licence and own transport. Must be willing to be based in Brackenfell for a few months, however the role will be permanently based in Joostenbergvlakte. RESPONSIBILITIES: Creditors:

Capturing of purchase orders and invoices Payment of creditor invoices on the relevant banking platform Reconciliation of creditor accounts and handling of all queries Balancing of intergroup accounts Ensure the accuracy and reliability of information at all times Debtors:

Capturing of service/ sundry sales invoices Capturing of debtor payments/ receipts from the bank statement Reconciliation of debtor accounts and handling of all queries Balancing of intergroup accounts Performing debtor month-end processing (finance charges, statements, etc.) Ensure the accuracy and reliability of information at all times This is a Company that really looks after their staff, with a lot of importance placed on growth and development, making this opportunity a worthwhile career move for the successful individual.
