Junior Accountant - 1 Year Ftc

Primary Objective of PositionThis role entails technical accounting and financial reporting within the Backoffice finance team.
The position acts as a finance business partner and supportto commercial divisions within the business.This role is based in our Roodepoort OfficeResponsibilities:• Monthly financial reporting and journal posting.• Balance sheet reconciliations.• Monthly calculations and postings for inventory and debtors.• Preparation and submission of sales and cost of sales.• Reporting of Bad Debt Reserves.• Preparation and submission of SPOC i.e.
Accounting for Spare Parts,preparing the movement schedule/tie-out for incoming and outgoing stock atthe end of the month and reconciling the closing balance per the tie-out to theGeneral Ledgers and associated reconciliations.• Open new customer accounts and credit vetting in accordance with Abbottpolicies.• Monitoring of Held Orders.• Assist with audit queries and general query resolution.• Support senior accountant with general finance functions.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:Education:Bachelor's degree in accounting OR relatedExperience:a Minimum of 4 years' experience within a similar role.Debtors experience is essentialAdvanced Excel experience essential Proactive individual with a drive to deliver resultsExcellent communication skills and ability to work with various personalitiesMust be able to work with standard desktop software i.e.
MS Office
