Successfully contract client specific rates and services and implement the process involved.To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is driven through the businessTo ensure that clients are offered the best available price and productTo continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clientsTo build and retain relationships with clients with effective communicationTo ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeouslyTo follow-up with clients and leads through Market ManagersEstablish reason for decline of proposalsIncrease conversion rate for quotes and meet targetsOffering of competitive rates, value for money options in the respecting turn-around timesFollow-up of all quotationsPresentation of proposalsAnalyzing of weekly quote conversion reportsUnderstanding the needs of clients target market and developing of product accordingly within a competitive marketCommunicate market research with the relevant Market ManagerAssist with the formation strategyDistribution channel analysis and developmentNew Business Development planning and managementLiaising between Business Development, Contracting and Market ManagersClient UpdateWhen supplier updates regarding rates are received, information must be updated on all contracts and offers and agents must be informed immediately of new ratesInformation to agents regarding specials, renovations etc. to be done in conjunction with MarketingBrochure AnalysisCollecting of competitors brochures and analysing to ensure continuous competitiveness within our specific marketsSupplier NegotiationUnderstanding your specific market and the competition in order to achieve the main goal of ensuring our agents are competitive within the marketMaintaining good relationships with the suppliers in order to achieve these goalsQualificationsMatric/Grade 12Tertiary Qualification in Tourism would be preferableSkills2 years product development / contracting experience in the tourism industry / Groups and FITsExperience in tour consulting with groups and FITs would be an advantageStrong product knowledge and supplier relationshipsIn depth pricing knowledgeExtensive negotiation experienceBenefitsMedical Aid, provident fund
