Tour Operator based in Cape Town
Job Description
Support the global cruise DMC's and legal team in negotiating contracts with cruise lines to determine the best outcome for the company.
Lead the project to consolidate cruise contracts, so there is one global contract / set of T&Cs for each cruise line.
Undertaking financial analysis to help the relevant teams understand and improve the margins they generate and to also determine which what each contract is "worth" to the company.
Collecting, monitoring, and studying data (internal & external) to recommend appropriate actions where necessary, particularly in relation to pricing.
Support senior management and cruise operational teams on a wide range of issues, including commercial agreements, risk management, contract administration and accident/incident reports.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, global cruise operations and marketing to achieve business goals while mitigating legal and commercial risks.
Utilize data to develop and implement strategies to optimize best commercial outcomes to support business objectives for global cruise activities.
Stay updated on cruise industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to proactively address commercial challenges and opportunities.
Conduct research and analysis, to produce market reports for the cruise teams as required, providing recommendations and solutions to commercial issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cruise industry partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Matric Certificate Bachelors' Degree or Diploma in Business Management or related field
Skills
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial management including financial analysis, preferably within the cruise or travel industry, and for a global or multi-national corporation. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.· Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-orientated approach. Excellent English communication and negotiation abilities – both written & verbal. Familiarity with cruise industry regulations and practices is an advantage. A strong work ethic, with time management and prioritisation skills to effectively to do what is required to get the job done. The ability to work well under pressure either independently or within a team environment. Can handle multiple projects simultaneously. An inquisitive, analytical, and enquiring mind Advanced Excel skills Integrity, openness, and honesty The ability to travel globally, if required
