A busy Hotel, Restaurant and Function Venue located on the Wild Coast 1.5 hours from East London in the Eastern Cape.
Job Description

Our client seeks a strong Pastry Chef who loves Baking and producing quality Bakes, Desserts and Loaves. Establishment prides itself on its developed Saturday Bakes which are sold in its Restaurant/Deli. The Restaurant is also a busy a la carte operation that is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, serving up to 500 meals per day in Peak season. The Main Hotel has a traditional 4-course fine dining tasting/Table De Hote menu for Lunch and Dinner and the Hotel can also accommodate Functions and weddings for up to 110 people. We seek a solid Pastry Chef who thoroughly enjoys baking and creating desserts/bakes/loaves and pastries.
Qualifications

Formal Culinary Qualification a strong advantage.
Skills

Skilled in the production of varied pastries, desserts, bread and confectioneries. Previous experience within upmarket Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants. 5* Service Orientated. Able and willing to work in a faced-paced environment. Willing and able to work hand in hand with owners to create quality desserts and as needed assist in other areas of the kitchen if required. Main focus will be on pastry however.
