: ZA00519 Schedule type: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Position WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The main responsibilities of this Senior Technical Buyer position is to scan, analyse and select of suppliers for goods and services in order to negotiate and conclude multiyear supply contracts for the successful execution of the Business Plan.
The Senior Technical Buyer is responsible for the procurement process, sourcing, RFQ's, price evaluations, cost analysis, negotiations and final procurement selection and qualification of suppliers.
The Senior Technical Buyer is also responsible for the finalisation of Contracts/SLA's and the management thereof over the contract/SLA period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiate and enter into multiyear cost-effective contracts with major suppliers in conjunction with Executive Manager Procurement and GM Supply ChainDetermine and ensure availability of strategic suppliers for specific specialised areasAchieve cost savings targets on Material, Capex, Non-Stock, Shipping and ServicesDevelop Life Cycle Costing Models for applicable Procurement ProjectsPreparing and executing annual cost reduction strategies and Value Engineering ProjectsConduct regular commodity market research, identify procurement risks and implement risk avoidance strategiesImplementation of specific Procurement Strategies based on technical & customer requirementsProcurement Lead during the Strategic Sourcing ProcessCoordinate supplier clarification sessions and technical reviews with cross functional teams and suppliersSupplier Risk Assessments, Due Diligence and Performance ManagementBBBEE procurement and support WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE B Comm.
