Job Description We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to join our IT Services team.
This role involves providing technical support, assisting with the installation and maintenance of IT systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software for our clients.

Requirements Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to clients and internal users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Assist with the setup and configuration of computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
Respond to and resolve help desk tickets on time, escalating issues when necessary.
Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on IT systems, including updates, backups, and security checks.
Ensure that all IT equipment is functioning optimally and efficiently.
Network Support: Assist with the setup and management of network systems, including routers, switches, and wireless networks.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure stable and secure network operations.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all support requests, resolutions, and technical activities.
Document procedures for common technical tasks and issues.
Prepare regular reports on system performance, support requests, and any issues encountered.
User Training: Assist in training users on new hardware and software, ensuring they are comfortable and proficient with the technology.
Provide guidance and support for users to ensure the effective use of IT systems.
Qualifications: Education: A diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an IT support or technical role.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (especially Microsoft Windows), and common software applications.
Experience with networking and troubleshooting is a plus.
Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic IT tools.
Certifications (Preferred but not required): CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or similar certification.
Personal Attributes: Eager to learn and develop in the IT field.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry IT equipment, such as computers and networking devices.
Willingness to occasionally travel to client sites for on-site support.

Requirements Desired Experience & Qualification Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience).
Technical Experience: Proven experience in a technical leadership role within an MSP or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with ISO framework and best practices.
Experience with managing and troubleshooting common IT systems and platforms.
Leadership and Management Skills: Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to to motivate and inspire a team.
Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of technical professionals.
Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Capacity to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Customer Service and Communication: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients and team members.
Continuous Learning: A passion for staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, ITIL, NIST) would be advantageous.
Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen: Ability to align technical strategies with business objectives.
Understanding of the MSP industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Experience in collaborating with other departments, such as Sales and Operations, to drive business growth.
