It Technician

This role is for a field technician to use his home as a base to service our clients in the greater Cape Town area.This position will involve 2 hours every morning at our client offices in Tyger Valley andfrom there doing site visits around the Western Cape Region. A company vehicle will be provided forthe site visits.The Description Of Duties Are As Follows:Skilled junior to mid-level IT support technicianAt least 3 years' experience of working in Windows desktop support, basic Windows Server support and basic Network Installation and support.The candidate should be a technical hands-on kind of person able to, from time to time, make use of power tools to mount brackets and install networking cabinets, mount antenna poles, etc.Responsibilities:Windows Desktop Support (10, 11) - CompetentWindows Server support (Server 2018 to current version) - BasicUnderstanding of Network Cabling, Routing, Switching VLANs, Wi-Fi – BasicUnderstanding of anti-virus and end point protection applications – CompetentUnderstanding of Switches, Network cabling, Patching, WiFi - CompetentUnderstanding of Network printing - CompetentUnderstanding of Internet connectivity, routers, 3G/4G - CompetentUnderstanding of Firewalls – BasicQualifications:A+, N+ and Microsoft certifications an advantage
