IT Technician
Our IT team is looking for a positive team player who can add value to a dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have hardware experience, be willing to travel extensively across KZN, and have some database management understanding.
The Head Office is based in Umhlali servicing stores and suppliers across KZN.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of IT technical experience.
Good general understanding and ability in software and hardware.
Sound understanding of networking and cable installation.
Solid Windows operating system (OS) knowledge.
Understanding of MS SQL would be an advantage.
Exposure to Arch software would be advantageous.
Solid knowledge of Windows processing hardware.
Good computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience working in a retail and wholesale environment will be an advantage.
Able to do installations of printers, cameras/CCTV, and time and attendance devices.
Matric with mathematics is essential.
Able to work in a well-organized, efficient, and meticulous manner.
Good communication, writing, and people skills are required.
Excellent IT technical skills are required.
Self-learner of new software tools and processes.
Excellent time management; i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload.
Able to work independently.
Good analysis and evaluation ability.
Willing to travel to stores to service departments as well as sleep over on occasion.

Accurately diagnose and assess repairs required.
Conduct software recovery & repairs (including all OS's).
Troubleshoot communications devices including network LANs and WANs.
Provide both telephonic and on-site support to customers and managers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot network and desktop (and related IT devices) problems.
Perform daily and weekly backups and updates.
Create and manage asset register for various IT devices.
Installation and configuration of OS, drivers, and applications.
Assemble/build PCs and/or replace PC components.
End user account setup and configuration.
Desktop repairs – Hardware troubleshooting & repairs to desktop systems.
