It Technician

IT Technician required for a reputable manufacturing company based in East London, Eastern CapeRequirements:Proficient in Proxmox and Dell server management.Strong knowledge of SQL database management and administration.Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.Solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and VPNs.Familiarity with IT security best practices and toolsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:Configure, manage, and maintain Dell servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.Deploy and manage virtualized environments using Proxmox.Perform routine server maintenance and updatesManage SQL databases, including installation, configuration, and optimization.Ensure data integrity and security across all database systems.Implement and maintain backup strategies for databases and other critical systems.Monitor and maintain IT security systems, including firewalls, antivirus, and data encryption tools.Should you wish to apply please email your CV through to Kerry O'Hagan at ****** shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
