It Systems Manager

To manage the IT functions on a day-to-day operational basis. Duties include:Leadership & ManagementLead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members.Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.CargoWise SupportServe as the primary point of contact for all CargoWise-related issues and enhancements.Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of CargoWise systems.Ensure best practices and compliance with industry standards for CargoWise usage.Infrastructure ManagementOversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systemsEnsure high availability and reliability of IT services and systems.Applications SupportManage the application support team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and user support.Put usage controls in place to avoid systems and cost abuseCoordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements.CargoWise Systems IntegrationsOversee Integration Projects: Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures.Develop Integration and Test Strategies: Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems.Coordinate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development vendor, and business units, to gather integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.Training and Documentation: Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues.Provide associated documentation, according to internal processReport / BudgetingReport Incident and System Information to Senior ManagementAnnual Budgeting for the I.T. DepartmentMonthly Reporting on I.T. Costs as defined by Senior ManagementStrategic PlanningAssess current IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Compliance & SecurityEnsure adherence to IT security policies and data protection regulations.Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data Minimum Requirements:Matric CertificateBachelor's degree in information technology or a related field – imperativeCertified CargoWise Professional – imperativeAWS certifications (advantageous).Network certifications (advantageous)Proven experience of Managing an IT DepartmentExperience in IT Infrastructure Planning and Development
