Main purpose of this role:The primary purpose of the IT Systems Engineer (Intern) is to support the B-Logic IT Operations team with Ticket Lifecycle Management and escalation. B-Logic will commit to upskilling IT Interns to progress further in their Information Technology career journey.
Responsibilities:The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:
Upskilling on Ticket Lifecycle Management: focus areas include, but are not limited to:Compliance with Ticket Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) including:Respond to logged tickets, and log ticket if no ticket exists.Ensure tickets are classified & prioritized accurately.Ensure time entries are captured accurately, consistently, and timeously.Provides regular and timely updates to all parties (internal and external) on incident statuses.Compliance with Communication Ways of Working:Ensure quality, that updates and resolution meet stakeholder expectations.Handling Escalations: focus areas include, but are not limited to:Escalation efficiencies:Quickly and accurately identify P1 and P2 Incidents and/or account escalations, initiating an immediate response.Notify relevant stakeholders. Communicate updates consistently and regularly (for Major incidents, updates should be at least hourly).Education and Experience Requirements:Matric or NQF equivalent.Working degree in computer science, information technology, or related.Experience in the Information Technology industry will be advantageous.Experience in working with hardware, software, applications, and configurations will be advantageous.The candidate must have a driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.Skills and Competencies:The abilities that the individual needs to perform this role effectively:
