REQUIREMENTSMatric is essentialRelated tertiary qualification is essentialA+, N+3+ year experience as an IT technician or similar position with ambition to progress in the ITWindows and Mac OSX knowledgeStrong desktop, operating system and software is essentialMicrosoft Exchange 2016/2019 experience with Microsoft CertificationExperience with CCTV will be advantageous (IP CCTV)Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsAbility to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or noMust Have valid drivers license with own reliable transportMust have reliable communication / Internet in place at home to attend to after hours support from time to timeMust be able to communicate with customers and answer any technical queriesSelf-motivated with the ability to use initiative and operate with minimal supervisionRESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure usability by configuring and installing the software and hardware componentsMaintain the software and hardware for all WANs, LANs, emails, telecoms and internet connectivityEnsure that all electrical safety standards are always metRestore or replace faulty or damaged hardwareSafeguard the privacy and security networks on computer systemsEnsure security by upgrading and installing anti-virus software and upgrading systems to enable all computers to have compatible softwareTest new hardware and softwareProvide tech support and be the first in line to contact when reporting an errorDaily backup operationsMaintain all technical documentationManage Service Level Agreements with IT related suppliersEnsure company and group IT procedures and guidelines are aligned
