An IT Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day support of IT systems for business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the hotel.
What will I be doing? Provide day-to-day support for all internal hotel IT systems and users, minimizing any system outages.Manage all property owned IT equipment (their lifecycles) and order new IT equipment ahead of time, strictly following Hilton purchasing policies, guidelines, and approval chains.Provide on-site user and guest support related to software applications, hardware, and network connectivity.Respond to all assistance requests very speedily and with a service-oriented attitude in line with our brand-specific culture.Identify and implement solutions to user challenges and concerns associated with the use of personal computer equipment.Work closely with above-property Focused Service IT Directors to ensure smooth running of the network and help maintain site systems.Support HR and GM on effectively managing IDM at the hotel (register, activate, change, de-activate system users).Provide regular IT related skills/knowledge training to hotel TMs and HODs to increase their independence in resolving potential IT issues.Manage shared technology resources.Periodically implement and carry out preventive maintenance on systems to ensure their reliability and availability.Manage IT setups and installations on property, ensuring compliance with company and local standards.Come to work every day with a smile on your face.Be a reliable and motivated member of the Finance Operations team, with a dotted line into the Regional IT Team.Communicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel.Be a role model for others by demonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times.Always deliver 'fair share' in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy.Be willing to lend a hand where it is needed most and spend at least 30 minutes per day helping in operations such as housekeeping, stewarding, and F&B service, providing brand-specific guest experiences.Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes, and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required.Participate positively in pre and post-shift briefs and hotel team huddles and apply learning the next day.Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or TM committees.Execute duties as assigned by the Finance Operations Manager and GM.What are we looking for? Previous IT experience, preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector.Experience of all Microsoft systems.Experience of hotel applications, such as Fidelio and Micros, preferred.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Current technical skills and knowledge of technology.General understanding of IT infrastructure trends and technologies, including networks, databases, business applications, and development methodology.What will it be like to work for Hilton?
