Qualifications:
Relevant Business or IT Degree
5+ years in a Project Manager role (in both systems development and Infrastructure)
Project management certifications or demonstrable career development activities would be a massive advantage
Experience with Infrastructure and Networks
The systems development lifecycle, and methodologies such as waterfall and agile
Leading projects successfully (including leading teams, budgeting, planning, quality management, problem solving, reporting, managing risk)
Project Management principles & ability to use 'best practice' in all aspects of project management, with focus on practical results rather than process
Approach to benefits delivery – from strategy to realization
MS Project and Project Online
Retail sector and broad understanding of traditional and new technologies used in retail and online environments
Responsibilities:
Working with an awesome team of Project Managers and Project Administrators.
Be part of growing the PMO office, as we always looking for new ways to improve our methodology and process.
Run daily stand ups with your team ensuring plans are in motion and on target.
Collaborate with the various team members of the projects assigned to you, such as developers, architects, and business analysts.
Reviewing your plans and budgets across your projects.
Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Drafting presentations for key engagements like Project update meetings and Steering committees.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Review of commercial agreements from third parties.
Ensuring risk and issues that may impact your project are identified, managed, and escalated if required.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Conduct request for proposal for exciting new solutions.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, with the Portfolio Manager.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
