IT PROJECT MANAGER As M&C Saatchi Group moves to the next stage of its growth, we are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead on a variety of change projects.
This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering much needed change within the global group, enabling it to achieve its ambitions as a creative solutions company.
This is a full-time role working in a hybrid capacity from our Cape Town office, where we have a Project Management contingent. This role will report to the Lead Project Manager, with a dotted line to the Global IT Director and will initially be a 6 month contract, with the potential to extend.
WHAT YOU'LL DO You will be responsible for project managing the delivery of multiple IT improvement and transformation projects. The projects will be varied and high profile, involving a range of stakeholders across the business. Projects will include, but not be limited to, IT integration of a global brand change, implementing audit standards and IT dependency management for a multiple system roll outs across the company.
Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end project management, including planning, monitoring execution, and control of the single, integrated, productivity suite.Deliver plans and monitor outcomes vs scope, objectives, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with stakeholders.Working with existing PMO framework to manage RAID and mitigate blockers.Ensure alignment with overall organisational strategy.Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, challenges, and develop contingency plans.Co-ordinate project resources across various time zones, including internal team members, external vendors, and consultants.Effective communicator, enabling collaboration across the project team, stakeholders, and departments to ensure project success.Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular status updates.Effective stakeholder engagement with teams across the globe.ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills and the ability to self-motivate, with a spike in attention to detail and being a finisher.
You're good at: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including the C-suite.Influencing and working with those outside of the team, communicating with stakeholders on the way.Creating structure and simplicity in a fast-paced environment.Influencing across competing agendas to ensure alignment and deliverables.Attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting priorities.Flexibility to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities.You bring (experience & qualifications): Project management qualification or certificate.Experience of project management principles, methodologies and tools.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to time driven deliverables.Experience in risk management, communications, and reporting.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.Some prior experience of managing complex data migration from legacy to strategic platforms, working within a globally distributed IT function, and dependency management on cross-function projects.Change management experience would be beneficial.Strong commitment to ethical business practices and corporate governance.WHAT WE OFFER For the right candidate we will offer a competitive salary, 20 days holiday and a selection of benefits that include Discovery Medical Aid contribution and EAP, Pension contributions and Risk, company swag, socials and more.
