Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Build and develop project teams, fostering high performance through clear purpose, direction, and motivation. Lead projects from initial requirements gathering through to deployment, including scope definition, risk mitigation, budgeting, and scheduling. Ensure adherence to established methodologies and governance frameworks while maintaining clear communication channels and regular milestone reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and outcomes. Lead meetings with senior leadership to define strategic objectives, project success factors, and stakeholder alignment. Serve as the first escalation point for any project-related risks or issues.
Planning and Execution: Coordinate resources to meet project goals, proactively managing priorities with business leaders. Monitor project performance against timelines and budgets, addressing deviations and keeping projects on track. Produce and present accurate, targeted progress reports for decision-making purposes at all levels.
Change Management: Partner with the change management team to ensure teams are prepared for business readiness and go-live activities. Facilitate knowledge-sharing and provide relevant information to support seamless execution during change initiatives.
Quality and Governance: Implement and maintain robust project governance structures, ensuring compliance with the organization's delivery standards and stage gate requirements. Participate in governance bodies, such as risk management and design forums, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with functional teams, including procurement, HR, legal, and finance, to mitigate risks and support project execution.
Skills and Qualifications: IT Diploma or Degree. Minimum of 10 years' experience managing IT-related projects (infrastructure and applications). Proven experience leading complex, high-stakes projects in IT environments. Strong project planning, design, control, and implementation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage resources, allocate budgets, and deliver within tight deadlines. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
