Duties and Responsibilities: Support of both strategic and operational goals of organisation.
Build quality engagements to facilitate improved support.
Maintaining Business Continuity schedules.
Updating policies in conjunction with the Data Protection Officer.
Develop technology roadmap to ensure strategic company objectives can be met.
Run quarterly meetings of the IT Steerco.
Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure resources are allocated efficiently between ongoing operations and new projects.
Manage and negotiate contracts with IT vendors to ensure favourable terms and high-quality services.
Implement and monitor IT vendor service level agreements to mitigate risk.
Quarterly technology board report submission.
Direct and manage IT projects from initiation through to successful completion, focusing on staying within budget and meeting deadlines.
Mentoring and training of technology employees, building skills within department, to reduce employee reliance and develop horizontal job loading.
Lead the IT support team to provide timely and effective resolution of technical issues for internal users.
Develop and build on existing relationships with line managers.
Ensure development projects meet company strategic objectives, within specified time-frames and pre-determined budgets.
Identify technology and process related risk and implement strategies to mitigate, transfer or eliminate such risk where possible.
Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard the company data and systems.
Ensure compliance with South Africa's POPIA.
Employ project management best practices to oversee initiatives such as system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure enhancements, ensuring they meet strategic business goals.
Maintain business continuity through application maintenance of critical business systems.
Minimize both the frequency and impact of conditions that reduce the availability or performance of the network infrastructure.
Ensure long term survivability of IT processes.
Support administration of mission critical software including financial, HR and Sales related applications.
Liaison with stakeholders to resolve high priority system faults and develop resolution procedures.
Problem solving relating to mission critical systems.
Manage Network administrator on impact of conditions that reduce the availability or performance of the network infrastructure.
Enable users to have remote access to business-critical information and resources – ensuring continued security of application and data infrastructure.
Maintain optimal operation of business infrastructure.
Minimize down time of critical systems, reroute to secondary systems until primary is online.
