Purpose of the Position: Manage Information Technology and computer systemsMain Responsibilities include:Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) as well as the Telecommunication system of the Company.Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and developmentMeet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelinesHire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems.Manage the computer systems budgets and expendituresEnsure Technology is accessible and equipped with up to datehardware and softwareMain Responsibilities include:Troubleshoot hardware, software and network communication systemsBe up to date with all Company hardware and software updates and functionalityBe up to date with Company network and communication systemProvide orientation to new users of existing and new technologyTrain staff on functionality of existing and new technologyProvide individual training and support on requestProvide recommendations on improvements to information and communication technologiesMaintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resourcesMonitor and maintain Technology to ensure maximum accessibility and redundancyMain Responsibilities includeAsses and manage all technical issuesManagement of the FirewallMaintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenanceMake recommendations on sourcing and purchasing of new technology resourcesManage Network access to all staffManage Work StationsManage hardware installations and updatesManage essential Company SoftwareManage and supply Network access and User AccountsManage security of all technologyManage and maintain a complex password systemManagement of IP addressingEnsure that all the critical Systems, Processes and Data are backed upEnsure that backup solutions are configured and are up to dateEnsure that the backup solutions are managed and maintained to not lose any data in any eventEnsure that Disaster Management plans and procedures are in placeTest the Backup integrity and disaster management plan on a quarterly basis to ensure that the data integrity is up to expectations.Make recommendations on sourcing and purchasing of new backup technology resourcesManage Data access to all staffManage and support the CRM and ERP Systems specifically SAGE 300 (Accpac) and SAGE CRMManage the Communication between Developers, Project Managers and the Company End UsersProvide First Line support and Training to end usersEscalate and follow up on queries that need to be addressed by the DevelopersEnsure that the Live, Development and Test environments are functional and accessible to all required parties and users.Ensure that regular backups are done at random stages during the project, especially before major updates, changes and implementations.Perform any other required duties from time to timeKnowledge: The Manager must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:National Diploma in Information Technology or at least A+, N+ and Microsoft Certification.5-10 years IT Management ExperienceMust have at least 8 years working experience in the following;Computer hardware and software systems and programsComputer networks, network administration and network installationComputer troubleshootingComputer viruses and securityE-mail and internet programsMicrosoft Windows and Server Operating SystemsManaging a Domain through Active Directory and Terminal Services.Database Structure and accessing and extracting DataSage 300(Accpac) and Sage CRM front and back-endIIS and WebservicesSSRS Report WritingWMS IntegrationAPI IntegrationJava or Angular JS Logs and basic debugging skillsSkills: The Manager must demonstrate the following skills:Management and supervisory skillsAbility to install and administer computer hardware, software and networksTeam building skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsDecision making skillsEffective verbal, presentation and listening communications skillsEffective written communications skillsStress management skillsTime management skillsPersonal Attributes: The Manager must demonstrate the following personal attributes:Be honest and trustworthyBe respectfulPossess cultural awareness and sensitivityBe flexible
