CoCre8 Technology Solutions, based in Midrand, Johannesburg is seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting our customers' IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and other critical technology systems.
The IT Engineer will perform routine and non-routine activities. The successful candidate must understand the importance of meeting Service Level Agreements, be focused on meeting customer expectations, resolve escalations from other team members, and have good knowledge of their working areas, processes, and required technical skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of IT systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Minimum RequirementsIT Degree or Diploma.Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role.Own transport and valid driver's license essential.Flexible to travel occasionally both nationally and internationally.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certifications are a plus.Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles is beneficial.Fujitsu certification and field experience would be an advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Capability: Works within a range of systems or in-depth product knowledge with minimal supervision helping to implement technical best practices. Ensures effective planning and implementation of creative and innovative service changes.Process: Contributes to the definition of operational processes and deals with customer escalated problems.Service Level: Manages systems within SLA, proposing, defining improvements and implementing changes to meet service level requirements as per customer contracts and warranty obligations.Project Work: Leads technical implementation of small to medium infrastructures and technical designs including timescale estimates and identifying risks. On larger projects works within a technical framework of the project to meet customer requirements. Consults in tender stage as a technical expert in projects. May give training, presentations or workshops.Customer Relations: Establishes working relationships with the customer and relevant operational units at the appropriate technical and/or management level to understand the requirements of the customer's business in order to deliver and enhance the service.Customer Satisfaction: Conducts CSAT surveys on every call logged with Service via e-mail and Telephonic Surveys.Utilisation Management: Captures time especially on Projects.Quality Management: Addresses Quality of Product or Service Delivery Escalations as Problem Management.Skills Management and Certifications: Maintains minimum level of certification required for job function. Completes all mandatory compliance training modules as defined by CoCre8. Trains internal engineers and partners when required.Information Security: Complies with all Information Security Rules and procedures. Ensures that company sensitive data is managed as per company information security policy. Raises flags if vulnerabilities are spotted within the company environment and stakeholder community.Problem Solving: Takes ownership for obtaining the information required to diagnose and resolve more complex problems. Proactively analyzes information and trends, proposing action to resolve problems, maintain and enhance service.Team Working: Works within a strong technical team and seeks to gain knowledge.Business Awareness: Proactively contributes both technically and commercially to identify and win new business.
