Location: Epping, Cape TownPurpose Responsible for installing, configuring, updating and maintaining all computer hardware and software as well as providing hands-on support for IT issues.
Key Performance OutputsHardware and Software: Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devicesCheck hardware to ensure functionalityRepair or replace damaged hardwareInstall, test, configure and monitor servers, firewalls and software according to company specificationsPerform tests and evaluations in new hardware and softwareInstall and update network system improvements as neededEnsure security and privacy of networks and computer systemsIdentify computer or network equipment shortages and place ordersIT Support: Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimise performanceProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentBe the first point of contact for error reportingOrganise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their workMonitor web performance, network availability and security, manage VOIP and Telecom systemsOversee troubleshooting for system errorsProvide helpdesk support for network issues/provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits, as neededEnsure electrical safety standards are metConduct daily backup operationsDocumentation: Maintain records and logs of repairsMaintain and update the Asset RegisterMaintain and update an accurate user list of all active users on the networkMaintain and adhere to the maintenance scheduleKeep record of all purchases of IT related equipmentMaintain all documentation required for due diligenceAdhere to procedures and specificationsComply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirementsEnsure compliance with all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest controlCulture Fit Live the brand by living our core valuesAlways striving to do your bestTechnical Skills and ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Computer Science or Engineering4 years working in a similar roleA solid understanding of network practices with infrastructure knowledgeExperience with Microsoft based systemsMicrosoft 365 ExperienceA solid IT infrastructure background and a Solid Business Systems background will be advantageous.Application and Enquiries:To be considered, please apply with a copy of your most recent CV to ****** by 29 November 2024.
