It Desktop Support

Key responsibilities / main job duties:Installing and configuring PCs and software components to ensure usabilityTroubleshooting hardware and software issuesRepairing or replacing damaged hardwareSetting up employee profiles on PCs and networkServer support and maintenance (both online and offline)Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computersInstalling and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user levelPerforming tests and evaluations of new software and hardwareProviding support to users and being the first point of contact for error reportingEstablishing good relationships with all departments and colleaguesWill report directly to the IT ManagerConducting daily backup operationsManaging technical documentationSetting up and maintaining printers Candidate requirements: Type of qualification:IT-related qualificationA+, N+, MCSE certificationBasic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNSNetwork printer knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and day-to-day softwareYears of experience required:3-5 Years experience in a similar role with evidence of work in an environment with more than 20+ PCIs the person required to have their own transport:YesProficiency in certain applications/computer programmes:Microsoft OfficeSound knowledge of: Microsoft Server and Desktop software (essential)Linux OS (advantage)Non-negotiable skills: IT fault findingThank you for applying with RareCruit!Follow us on social media for the latest jobs, trends and market insight:Website:
