An independent global asset manager is looking for a driven and customer-orientated Investment Specialist to join their expanding team in Cape Town or Durban.
As the Investment Specialist, your primary objective will be to drive sales and brand awareness, maintaining and increasing net flows into the business's local and global funds.
The Investment Specialist position calls for a confident and self-motivated individual who demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, self-management and integrity, with a strong focus on delivering results and promoting the firm's values.
Key qualifications and experience required for the Investment Specialist:Bachelor's degree in relevant subject matter (i.e., investments or finance)CFA (with any levels or all 3)5 years' experience in Collective Investments environmentExperience in Unit Trust specialisationProven track record of client relationship experienceKey duties of the Investment Specialist:Develop strategies to maintain positive net flows and mitigate the impact of redemptionsImplement distribution strategies to enhance net flows through internal and external advice channelsProvide support to Distribution Services to drive additional sales into funds through their clientsDevelop and execute strategies to bolster support with Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs) and multi-managersCollaborate with marketing and communications teams to craft compelling messaging and promotional materialsRepresent the firm at industry events, seminars and other public forumsKey personal skills:Ability to articulate complex information to a wide range of clientsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsThrives in high-pressure environments and meets tight deadlinesPossesses a results-driven and strategic mindsetDisplays intelligence and adaptability in tackling challengesIf you are a dynamic investments professional with a "go-getter" attitude, eager to join an emerging player in the asset management industry, we encourage you to get in touch for a discussion about this position.
