Purpose of the job:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Business Development Manager responsible to establish and grow the PPS Investments Multi Manager and DFM capability.
Minimum Requirements
Key success measurement:
Proven ability of growing market share and exceeding sales targets in the DFM space. Credibility with industry stakeholders with market knowledge, and expertise to navigate the complexities of the financial markets and meet the unique needs of clients.
Ideal experience:
At least 5 years proven track record and experience within the asset management and/or LISP industry including. Experience working in a DFM will be advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge of investment products with demonstrated ability in the business development space, history of successful engagements with leading intermediaries.
Understanding of the broader economic environment and its effect.
Ideal qualifications:
Relevant tertiary financial/investment qualification essential.
A CFP with current FPI membership.
RE exams would be advantageous.
A CFA would be advantageous.
Competencies and ideal personality attributes:
Technical knowledge about investments, investment industry & trends.
Knowledge around Discretionary Fund Manager's, ASISA categories and related asset managers.
Business Acumen.

Systems knowledge:
Proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced MS Excel & PPT skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
Main duties and responsibilities:
Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives to grow the business's footprint and increase market share as a preferred Solutions/DFM provider to intermediary partners with a large focus on IFAs.
Identify potential opportunities for PPS DFM and build and leverage strong relationships with distribution channels through your experience and expertise.
Improve visibility of PPS DFM with deliberate marketing strategy and engagements.
Maintain a current understanding of the competitor universe, including participants, key role players, portfolios and pricing.
Provide strategic input into operational and servicing processes.
Engage regularly with primary Investment partners.
Build and manage a relationship with PPSI Multi Manager to support manager research, asset allocation and portfolio construction research.
Build internal relationships with supporting divisions to support the PPS Solutions proposition.
Member (potentially Chair) of PPS DFM Investment Committees for your panel of intermediaries.
Oversee and sign-off the development of marketing material and Model Portfolio reporting.
