Job DescriptionOur dynamic team is committed to driving value and fostering growth in our portfolio companies. We are seeking an ambitious Investment Associate to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

As an Investment Associate, you will play a critical role in all aspects of deal-making, supporting Investment Principals and Partners throughout the transaction cycle. This position involves sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, managing workstreams during the due diligence process, and collaborating with the Portfolio Management team to drive value creation post-investment.

Key Responsibilities: Investment Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and assess potential investment opportunities through market research and networking.
Due Diligence Management: Oversee and contribute to the due diligence process, coordinating efforts among various stakeholders.
Financial Analysis: Execute fundamental strategic analysis and develop comprehensive financial models across debt, mezzanine, and equity investments.
Post-Investment Support: Work alongside the Portfolio Management team to implement value creation strategies within portfolio companies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with senior executives and small business managers to assess business strategies and operational effectiveness.
Process Management: Manage complex, fast-moving processes with guidance from senior team members, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
RequirementsQualifications: South African citizen
A graduate degree with strong academic performance, preferably in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics).
MBA, CA (SA), or CFA designation is advantageous.
Experience: 2-4 years in equity/mezzanine/debt investing within a private equity, venture capital, or SME environment, or strategy consulting with a Tier 1 firm, with private equity due diligence experience.
Familiarity with property finance and/or renewable energy sectors is a plus.
Alternative experience in highly analytical roles in investment banking, venturing, or small business management will also be considered.
