Investment Analyst

Our client invests in private debt and structures debt capital market transactions for mid-market South African companies.
Their business model aims to identify a select group of companies with excellent management, products, and market opportunities and helps to remove access to capital as the barrier to growth.
While sector agnostic, they preferably work in industries with a natural tailwind and strong ESG angles, such as alternative energy or job creation.They are seeking a highly motivated Analyst / Associate to support the team in the due diligence and post-transaction monitoring of private credit and debt capital markets transactions.
While immediate priority is to support the team, in the longer term, for the right candidate, the role provides the opportunity to grow into a Deal Transactor.Key Requirements:CA(SA) or CFA Level II or Masters-level degreeHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google SheetsStrong financial modelling skills and experience in data analysisProven analytical capabilities to manage due diligence processes effectivelyExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior managementA proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
