Investment Analyst: Durban (12 Months Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Summary: To perform financial and commercial assessment as well as provide recommendation and comments to Investment Associates and Regional Manager on all areas of transaction execution. Experience / Skills Required: Minimum of 2 years in financial analysis or similar experience in the corporate finance/ Banking/ DFI environment Experience in deals assessment and ability to apply financial modelling methodologies A generalist in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), franchise, procurement and entrepreneurship finance area Understanding of the company mandate and investment guidelines Possess good analytical and modelling skills An expert analyst demonstrating high command of the abilities required to perform the role Ability to apply processes with ability to move beyond the standard process with help to produce highly insightful diagnoses Able to identify important issues and highlight them to team for consideration Good at knowledge gathering, finding additional relevant information from unusual sources Can develop good, actionable recommendations and a strong contributor in discussions on investment implications Structures own work and meet /exceed all commitments and targets Participation in team problem solving and contribute to team effectiveness Willingness to travel Qualification Requirements: Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting / Economics / Finance or equivalent
