Investment Analyst: Durban (12 Months Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Summary: To perform financial and commercial assessment as well as provide recommendation and comments to Investment Associates and Regional Manager on all areas of transaction execution.
Experience / Skills Required:Minimum of 2 years in financial analysis or similar experience in the corporate finance/ Banking/ DFI environmentExperience in deals assessment and ability to apply financial modelling methodologiesA generalist in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), franchise, procurement and entrepreneurship finance areaUnderstanding of the company mandate and investment guidelinesPossess good analytical and modelling skillsAn expert analyst demonstrating high command of the abilities required to perform the roleAbility to apply processes with ability to move beyond the standard process with help to produce highly insightful diagnosesAble to identify important issues and highlight them to team for considerationGood at knowledge gathering, finding additional relevant information from unusual sourcesCan develop good, actionable recommendations and a strong contributor in discussions on investment implicationsStructures own work and meet /exceed all commitments and targetsParticipation in team problem solving and contribute to team effectivenessWillingness to travel Qualification Requirements:Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting / Economics / Finance or equivalent
