Job Description:The role is specifically aimed at producing management information that enables both Property Risk and the Private Bank's risk and operational teams, from both a national and regional perspective, to better understand the Bank's property book.(ads1)Job Responsibilities:Interpretation and analysis of property related dataLiase and further enhance relationships with 3rd party vendors, such as MSCI, SAPOA and industry expertsBe the link between business and IT regarding various projectsAbility to provoke thought, and challenge current thinkingUsing economic background to identify opportunities and risks in various lending portfolios.Monthly and quarterly reporting deliverablesLiaise with business areas and IT to receive and collate relevant informationLiaising with the Property Risk teams regionally to ensure the timeous receipt and consistency of informationAttend and more importantly to participate in credit processesUsing an economic overlay to ensure that market trends are reflected in portfolio level property valuationsQuantify the impact over the short and medium term of the expected and stressed macro-economics scenarios on the properties securing the lending portfolioJob Requirements:A high level understanding of the regulatory framework for credit risk (i.e. Basel) would be advantageous, but not a necessity as this knowledge will be providedRisk consciousnessHigh attention to detailA passion for the property market and the ability to identify and apply property related risks in a practical contextA good understanding of how the economic environment impacts the property marketGood communication and interpersonal skillsPreference will be given to a candidate with property experience.Strong data analytic skills (for example, Python, VBA, Sql)Bcom Honours in Economics or equivalentMinimum 5 years work experience in a related fieldJob Details:Company:InvestecVacancy Type:Full TimeJob Location:SandtonApplication Deadline: N/A(ads2)Apply Hereinstantcareers.net#J-18808-Ljbffr
