INTRODUCTIONTo ensure effective end to end inbound operations management, stock and inventory management.JOB DESCRIPTIONTo effectively manage and control inventory systems and processes, as well as reports according to set deadlines.To ensure the accurate valuation and count of inventory (stock and fixed assets) for the main DC through cycle inventory count analysis, investigation of variances and accurate stock takes.To ensure the accurate valuation of shrinkage for the main DC in accordance with IFRS.To provide Inventory specific financial information as and when required and review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.The achievement of budgeted and agreed financial targets.To control and ensure accountability for damage and poor maintenance of company assets (scanners, machines, racking, etc).To analyse, interpret and report business information in order to facilitate process improvement and improved financial performance.To engage, network and communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, suppliers and stores to ensure swift query resolution and ensure improved business performance.To deliver high levels of service by ensuring supplier deliveries are efficiently received.To lead and direct the department to achieve consistent process compliance and adherence to all relevant company SOPs, cut-offs and daily reports.To ensure effective utilisation of all people resources to drive productivity to targets.To ensure weekly meetings with labour brokers to address poor performance, damage to property and or stock, short supply of labour, scheduling issues and control and approval of costs.Act as a liaison between departments and buyers and determine obsolete stock while optimizing inventory turnover.JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGEUnderstanding of logistics environment.Basic accounting for reconciliations.Knowledge of warehouse procedures (receiving, pack away, replenishment and checking and packing, special handling of stock).JOB RELATED SKILLSComputer literacy.Microsoft office suite (especially excel).Communication (verbal and written) skills.Basic numeric skills.Attention to detail.Organising skills.Analytical skills.EDUCATIONEssential: Matric.NQF level/management qualification or relevant experience.BCom Supply Chain.JOB RELATED COMPETENCIESLeading and Supervising.Persuading and Influencing.Analysing.Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking.Delivering Results & Meeting Customer Expectations.Coping with Pressures and Setbacks.
