Inventory Officer - Mining Industry

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to join their team in the mining industry in Mpumalanga. The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory records of all materials and supplies in stock. Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize losses. Assist in forecasting and budgeting for future inventory needs. Coordinate with other departments to ensure inventory is efficiently utilized. Comply with health and safety regulations in handling and storing materials. Prepare reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends for management review. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. 3 years of proven experience as an Inventory Officer or similar role in the mining industry. Knowledge of inventory management software and systems. Working experience on SAP (PM module). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required.
