Inventory Analyst required for an automotive company based in East London Purpose Ensure all disciplines are in place and transactions are executed to assure inventory accuracy of purchased parts, raw materials, and manufactured product within the ERP system.
Requirements Minimum tertiary qualification / technical diploma and/or specific training on supply chain management.
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Detailed understanding and experience working with MRP systems.Knowledge and working experience with QAD or MFG Pro is beneficial.Previous supervisory experience advantageous.Must possess excellent communications skills and can work effectively with all other functional groups throughout the organization.Knowledge of material flow (FIFO, KANBAN, FCA & JIS)Accurate Document ControlAble to process time sensitive information and orders to meet deadlinesAbility to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and generate presentations when requiredThe person will need to have excellent analytical skills to problem solve and implement permanent corrective action.QAD and ESB knowledge is advantageous.
Responsibility Train and monitor the functional areas within the plant to ensure that all inventory transactions are performed correctly and on a timely basis to improve overall accuracy of the perpetual inventory systems; this includes but is not limited to production and scrap reporting, receipt entry, timely and accurate back-flushing of raw materials.Responsible for coordinating all cycle count and leading physical inventory process.Identify potential root causes and drive the investigation of these root causes with responsible departments.
Implement corrective actions of inventory variances.Participate in BOM reviews for all manufactured parts, work with BOM and Systems Specialist to ensure items are transacting correctly.Monitor and investigate QAD negative inventory report.Lead efforts to organize visual inventory systems on the shop floor.Assist in coordination of engineering/process changes, minimization of obsolete materials and NDI inventory.
Participate in launch events and meetings.System or process improvements/suggestions should be brought to the attention of upper management.Ensure compliance to all IOS, IATF and internal plant procedures / processes.Support and coordinate 4-walll counts, done on a minimal basis of once per year.
Responsible to set-up all admin activities for this process, including arranging count sheets, count identification, preparing count packs, controlling counts during stock take and supporting in investigations.Working with Material Planners to priorities critical counts, timely investigation and execution of corrections when requested.
