Inventory Accountant

The purpose of the role will be to ensure the implementation and management of accounting controls for inventory (raw, packaging, spares and finished goods). The successful incumbent will ensure accurate reporting, manage risks and assist in driving financial control. Duties will include, but will not be limited to: Prepare performance reports Assist with bi-annual stock counts Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Analyse variances between sales and finished goods Perform reconciliations between stock balance vs stock on hand Follow up regarding integration of entries; ensure no error in transactions Analyse variances Review and analyse results Review work in progress and open stock processes Provide feedback on risks Process month-end journals, follow up on inventory account entries processed, and ensure that provisions are released Monthly stock provision calculations Assist with support from distribution agent relating to stock queries Education: BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting field Skills & Experience: 2 to 4 years' experience in an inventory accounting position is essential FMCG / Packaging / Pharma industry experience is essential Strong inventory management, accounting, analysis and forecasting experience essential SAP working knowledge Strong Microsoft Excel skills Strong communication skills Analytical skills Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment Apply now For more finance jobs, please visit www.networkrecruitmentinternational.com If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
