As an International Tax and Pricing Transfer Specialist you'll be supporting the delivery and be responsible for managing the group's cross-border tax activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable transfer pricing requirements as well as monitoring, and advising on potential current and future tax risks.
This will help us excel at addressing all transfer pricing and tax-related matters for the organisation to stay ahead of the game.
What you'll be doing As part of your role, your responsibilities will include: Manage the group's multi-territory and cross-border tax related activities to pro-actively identity, optimize and address identified tax opportunities and risks.
Manage the preparation and submission processes for the group's global transfer pricing compliance including review and submission of master files, local files, and other transfer pricing documentation.
This includes working closely with the group's external transfer pricing advisers.
Manage the relevant international tax compliance, reporting and notification processes including those relating to controlled foreign companies tax filings, country-by-country reporting, BEPS pillar two, public tax transparency reporting requirements, etc.
Review of group-wide transfer pricing policies including standardized modules for inclusion in local files; and working closely with advisors in preparing documentation supporting the group's transfer pricing policies.
Support the group finance teams responsible for in-country tax compliance, reviewing certain key business transactions and initiatives, ensuring the required documentation for tax purposes is always maintained and tracking the tax compliance status of the group entities.
Monitor and research on relevant international tax trends, legislative changes, and relevant global economic/fiscal changes, documenting such and disseminating to the relevant group's stakeholders.
Lead the management and resolution of transfer pricing and international tax-related queries / disputes with the relevant tax and regulatory authorities.
Manage and maintain relationships with tax authorities, regulators, external tax service providers and internal stakeholders in professional, transparent, and mutually beneficial manners .
Maintain the group's global tax risk register, record of uncertain tax positions and tax projects tracker.
Implement tax workflow process automation to drive efficiencies and manage risk.
Essential skills you'll bring to the table The necessary skills that we require for this role include: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations Good understanding of the gaming industry will be a considerable added advantage Minimum of 8 - 12 years international tax and transfer pricing experience in or across highly complex, growth organizations across multiple jurisdictions Strong knowledge of global and local tax principles, including international tax concepts, transfer pricing, the OECD BEPS project, EU tax transparency disclosure requirements, double tax treaty interpretation and application etc.
Experience with local and cross border M&A transactions, including managing due diligence processes and structuring of transactions Experience influencing stakeholders in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions and geographies Proven ability to work across multiple functional teams Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex matters including taking rational decision on tax issues Good working knowledge of tax accounting standards and international tax principles Successful working independently and as a member of a team in a high-pressure environment Desire and ability to contribute to the continuous development and success of the team Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong analytical, planning, and strategic thinking skills Strong sense of urgency with a positive impact on delivery Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve It would be great if you also have some of the following skills: In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies Qualified chartered accountant or qualified tax lawyer Post graduate tax qualification Accounting / Financial Services jobs
