A well-known and established laboratory instrumentation company requires the above to procure laboratory instrumentation and consumables internationally from suppliers for customers within the scientific and medical laboratory industry.Minimum Requirements For The RoleA minimum grade 12 is essential for this role.Previous experience having worked in a procurement role with international suppliers is preferred.A certificate or diploma in buying or a related logistics qualification would be beneficial.Must have good negotiation, administration, planning, organizing, time management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Previous experience having worked on Syspro is essential.High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible ForProcuring laboratory instrumentation and consumables internationally from suppliers for customers within the scientific and medical laboratory industry.Processing orders to international suppliers and ensuring the orders are correct.Ensuring that MRP reports are done weekly and validated against inventory history.Confirming product codes, descriptions, and prices, and ensuring that the correct quantities are ordered.Processing, verifying, and releasing all orders on Syspro.Working closely with all product managers to ensure that order confirmations are placed with suppliers.Liaising and advising Product Managers and sales staff of order delays.Following up on outstanding orders placed with international suppliers.Receiving and capturing invoices from international suppliers.Working closely with the shipping company regarding the importing and exporting of products to ensure that special clearing is approved on urgent orders and that clearing documentation is correct.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.Desired SkillsProcurement ClerkInternational Procurement ClerkLogisticsLaboratory Instrumentation
