Internal Sales Associate Location: Retreat - R 13500 per month Job description The Internal Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers at our branch sales counter, providing product information, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive in-store customer experience.
This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about timber and outdoor products and eager to build a career in sales.
You will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our stores, and your role will be crucial in promoting our products and assisting with customer queries.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, providing them with product information and advice on suitable products for their needs.
Sales Transactions: Process customer orders, issue invoices, and handle cash or card payments accurately.
Product Knowledge: Develop a good understanding of our range of products (poles, timber, fencing, garden furniture, etc.)
and be able to confidently explain their features, benefits, and uses to customers.
Stock Management: Assist with stock checks and ensure products are well displayed and available for sale.
Customer Queries and Follow-up: Handle customer inquiries and, when necessary, follow up on orders or specific product requests.
Maintain Store Cleanliness and Presentation: Ensure the sales counter and surrounding area are clean, organized, and well-presented to customers.
Support Team Members: Collaborate with other team members and support the branch with administrative tasks, as needed.
Requirements: Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the timber industry is a must.
Matric Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Basic numerical skills for processing transactions.
