Minimum requirements for the role: A minimum matric is essential. Previous experience having worked in an internal sales or customer services role where you will be dealing with customers on a daily basis is essential for the role. Previous experience having worked for a chemical distribution company who distributes products to manufacturers would be preferred but not essential. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels. Must be sales and service orientated and have good planning and execution skills. Previous experience having worked on sap is preferred but not essential. Must have good Microsoft Office and Excel skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing key accounts with large manufacturing companies and working alongside the external sales team as well as senior management. Quoting prospective customers across all product ranges and providing product information to them. Receiving and processing orders on an ERP System ensuring delivery and collection of products are met. Monitoring of stock levels to meet customers needs as well as assisting with quotes and monthly pricing. Following up with customers with regards to previous days deliveries to ensure customer service and on time in full deliveries. Communicating with customers with regards to order status, stock availability pricing etc. Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries. Ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts. Liaising with shipping companies and ports re the export of their products. Staying abreast of sales and product information by attending regular training. Compiling weekly and monthly reports. Updating business on customer-specific stock.
