Job Description Main Purpose: TheInternal Communications Specialist role is responsible for creating andimplementing internal, employee communications content and contributing toprograms that actively engage internal audiences at an enterprise level. Reporting to the Communications Manager, thisrole translates business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate communicationsinitiatives in support of those strategies, and executes and drives programsthat create excitement, drive engagement and connection, align teams and shapeculture. In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring quality contentacross all channels, including newsletters, email, intranet and employeeWhatsApp channel. Responsibilities: Support communication strategy, framework and processes · Ensure alignmentand consistency with the development and implementation of communicationstrategies, campaigns, events, and the management of communications channels. · Help create abest-in-class internal communications function across the enterprise that fuelemployee engagement, influence connectivity and culture, positively impactingall Business Units. · Assist indeveloping communication materials using a variety of tactics (writtencommunications, presentation materials, Ms Teams, intranet, and other digital platforms,town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages. · Ensurecommunication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate,and integrated with WFS's priorities and themes. · Review, edit,proofread and quality assure all communications, ensuring a consistent qualityof branding related content is delivered. · Monitor theeffectiveness of communications channels and platforms and recommend solutionsfor continuous improvement. · Uses internaltools as appropriate to maximize the Enterprise's internal communicationeffectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery, andidentity. Manage and optimise digital channels · Work with theCommunication Manager and appropriate teams to create and maintain content foremployee communication channels, and partners with various stakeholders in thebroader enterprise to explore and recommend new channels or technologies wherepossible. · Source, developand create content across all communication and digital channels, workingalongside internal and external stakeholders to ensure content produced isrelevant, compelling, and engaging. · Optimise andmaintain all digital channels, ensuring the structure, content, look and feelenhances the employee experience. · Assist inmanaging content for WFS company intranet, ensuring that it is up-to-date,engaging, and informative. Coordinate Internal Communication Calendar and EventManagement · Plan and organisethe internal digital calendar, ensuring all related activities for the calendaryear are implemented to inform and engage employees on prioritised and agreedorganisational topics, themes, and narratives. · Assist in theplanning, coordination, and execution of internal employee events as needed andappropriate. · Support with theplanning and rollout of other internal communication related events including webcasts or information sessions for employees. · Support theCommunication Manager is partnering with the CEO office to understand andexecute the overall enterprise strategy and strategic goals in the short,medium and long term. · Support theCommunication Manager in partnering with the P&C team to write and editimpactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotesTransformation, Equity, and Belonging (TEB), Employee Experience, TalentAcquisition, Wellbeing, Professional Development, Change Management,Remuneration & Benefits and other People programs and initiatives insupport of WFS' goals and culture. · Respond tocommunication requests from internal stakeholders, developing compellingmessages and communicating through appropriate channels within specifiedtimelines. · Work withinternal stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and maintain contentfor communications, features and stories. · Workcollaboratively with the broader Woolworths Communications teams to mine forcontent that can be tailored and repurposed for a broader audience. · Develop materialsand presentations to support all internal communication requirements, includingthe CEO's internal communication programme. · Respond tomessages from communication mailboxes in a timely and efficient manner. Communication Reporting, record keeping and Tracking · Implement metricsreports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels andmeasures internal communications with the goal of continuously improvinginternal communications strategy to reach and engage employees. · Support internalcommunication champions to align and cascade messaging across the organisation. · Document, archive and store all communication material ina central repositor. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing,Journalism, linguistic or related field. Financial services industry experiencepreferred. Experience: 3 years' experience in acommunications specialist or similar role, executing communication strategiesand plans across a variety of channels and platforms, and creating content thatdemonstrates an understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.  4 years in a communicationsspecialist or similar role, executing communication strategies and plans acrossa variety of channels and platforms, and creating content that demonstrates anunderstanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs would be beneficial. Experience andknowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing is preferred. Experiencein project management is preferred Understanding of employeeengagement strategies and translating these into meaningful experiences. Experience workingwith digital communication channels including intranet and employee mobileapplications. Additional Requirements Knowledge: Knowledge of digital and technologicalcommunication platforms. Knowledge of effective communication strategies. Knowledge of brief development and execution. Knowledge of Plain Language.
