JOB SPECIFICATION: INTERNAL BANKING SPECIALIST
As an Internal Banking Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting internal banking operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and optimal delivery.
Your responsibilities will encompass opening of new business accounts, liaising with 3rd party payment providers, maintaining documentation, compliance adherence, and collaborating with various departments to maintain seamless banking processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of banking procedures with all major banks, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bank and 3rd Party Payment Liaison:
Opening of corporate accounts for commercial and international accounts and maintaining relations between banks and Banxso.
Ensuring all queries are handled in a timely and efficient manner and escalating where needed.
Ensure that all authorized bank account users have the relevant access to the banking systems.
Interact with various banking institutions to communicate the organization's needs to provide personalized business banking solutions and services.
Proficiently use banking software and tools and report thereof.
Assist internal departments with account inquiries, transactions, and problem resolution regarding business banking accounts.
Deliver excellent and timely internal services to enhance overall satisfaction.
Banking Advisory:
Offer advice and guidance on various banking products and services.
Analyse organisations' financial situations to recommend appropriate solutions and investment products.
Compliance:
Stay up to date on banking regulations and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
Execute transactions within the framework of legal and regulatory guidelines.
Stay abreast of internal policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
Ensure strict compliance with internal and external regulatory guidelines.
Stay informed about banking new products and features, and effectively communicate them to the stakeholders.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date company banking records and documentation.
Completion of all necessary documentation, forms, and applications.
Maintain accurate and organized internal banking records.
Generate and manage reports related to internal financial activities.
Problem Resolution:
Communicate with various banks regarding queries, technical issues, etc., on behalf of departments.
Liaise with third parties for merchant banking-related issues, i.e., Peach, Ozow, and Paygate.
Assist different GEO locations with bank access, queries, and/or tech support.
Address and resolve company concerns, complaints, or issues in a timely and efficient manner with the business banking consultant.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless experience.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding banking procedures, updates, downtime, public holidays, and any changes.
Work collaboratively with banking professionals and internal department team members to achieve collective goals.
Participate in training sessions to stay informed about industry trends and updates.
Provide support for audits.
Ad Hoc Projects:
Participate in special financial projects and execute as assigned by the CFO, General or Finance Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
Proven experience in banking or a related financial services role.
Strong understanding of financial products and services.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
