Internal Auditor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide a systematic and disciplined approach to effectiveness of risk management control and governance processesPossess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and a sound judgementAccountable for the examination and evaluation of organisations processes, reporting findings back to the executive regarding possible improvements and correctionsDesigning and implementing the internal audit planPerforming financial and operational auditsIdentifying business process risksCreating various testing methods to evaluate the adequacy of controlsDocumenting results of the internal audits and implementing corrective actionDeciding the best ways to schedule projects/auditsStrong attention to detail and accuracyHave effective time management, problem solving and decision-making abilitiesBe able to present and communicate in both written and verbal formsConducting store audits in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West and other sites as directed by internal audit management.
Audits will also entail accounting and DC warehouse.
Extensive travel with overnight staysREQUIREMENTS:5 Years' experience as an internal auditorTertiary Qualification - Internal Auditing / Accounting qualificationValid code 8 Drivers Licenses (own vehicle)Full MS OfficeSage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar systemGAAP and/or Micros advantageousSound understanding of the internal auditing function and a hands-on approachExperience in the Retail, FMCG or Fast-Food sectors – advantageousAbility to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisationStrong presentation skillsMust have strong attention to detail and a proven track record
