An exciting career opportunity exists for an Internal Audit Co-ordinator to perform a new and critical role within the Group Internal Audit team, reporting to the Senior Audit Manager IT & Projects. This role will be based in Cape Town.
Group Internal Audit serves as an essential governance and control function for the Santam Group. The day-to-day functions of any modern-day internal audit shop, including that of Santam GIA, requires operational support to complete its annual assurance plan and to reach its goals.
This role's purpose will be to assist the audit team with setting up and maintaining its key tools such as the audit management software, related IT infrastructure, audit methodologies, technical change management & upgrades as well as testing and rolling out new related software. The incumbent will also fulfil the role of Audit Quality Assurance Specialist as well serves as the champion for audit issue tracking.
The value this role will bring includes contributing to a higher quality audit function, adhering to the international internal audit standards and ultimately freeing up the GIA core team to focus on their assurance responsibilities as opposed to back-office type of demands.

Provide year end analysis data to CAE for Audit Committee reporting.Complete Quality Assurance on TeamMate files for GIA Team (QAIP)GIA Methodology Alignment to TeamMate (configuration and alignment)Updating the TeamMate methodologyCreating the new TeamMate templates (Assurance and Consulting)Updating the new TeamMate library to match current risk taxonomy.
